Not exactly sure I guess. All of the ones I’ve warrantied happened within the first year. If you woulda bought it from me I would get it taken care of. Oregon has been really good that way to deal with and I’m just a little guy

I’m sure mine is 2-3 years old at a minimum. I’ll fix it and probably buy a new cannon to go along with it.

I called Oregon and talked to them directly. They’re going to try to find a replacement for me. It was the 34” so they may not have any left.

There's a guy that fixes them here and he uses a special aluminum adhesive made for the aircraft industry. It's really expensive - like around $450 for a gallon. He's also rivets the insert
every three inches all the way around. He's fixed a couple for me they've never come apart again.

I put 6 rivets in my 36” without any glue and that worked good for me.
Do you guys do much plunge cutting when felling? They are so dam floppy it’ll throw the chain on me every once in a while.

That’s good Mike! Glad they want to try and help you out with it. Like I said they’ve been great warranting stuff. I sold a roll of 050 gauge chain to a guy that had a few 058 drivers in it they gave me whole another roll and told me to dispose the faulty one, yeah that didn’t happen. I’ve only found 2 other drivers that were wrong

I was surprised since I couldn’t verify the age exactly. I figure they won’t have any but might send a 32” out which is fine by me.

32’s are a nice length bar on a healthy 2171. They balance good, aren’t clumsy like a 36”. 28’s don’t hardly seem any different than a 24” to me

I’ve used those 34” on a lot of 70-90 cc saws and I prefer it 90% of the time. The rest I use a 28” or a 16” on the 346
