I'm rebuilding the carb on a Ms200T. I got a stens kit from my local dealer, but its slightly different than what I took out. There is an extra clear plastic piece that goes with the pump side parts. What is it, do I need it?

You have a choice of “valves “ there. Probably one is good for gas with ethanol and the other isn’t. Not knowing which is which I’d probably go back with the black rubber one.

The mylar pump diaphragm does not pump as much as the neoprene one. Some carbs have to pump more fuel than others. Whichever you removed, replace with the same type.

Thanks, my gut said go with the black one, but its really supple and the old one was very stiff and crunchy like the new clear one.

That’s why it no longer works . It’s lost it’s suppleness.

The original black one is mylar in your carb.

The C1Q kits are know as the blue or clear diaphragm kits. They are different thicknesses for different fuel rates.
