Otherwise, I would never be without my MMWS 460 Rancher.

Still availible. Ok heres another nice kid-o builder/kinda.
All the bones r there minus airfilter and cover which on these is a piece of felt and a piece of plastic that never clips on rite. Ill include a piece of foam to get u started. Good bore/ piston, good comp., got fire. Primer bulb/ fuel line still feel good. 18" bar, bumper chain looks good and decently sharp. Needs a good cleaning n some tlc. There is no brake on this saw. Looks like it spent most of its life in a case. Free for shipping cost.

Although I cut eleventy billion metric butt tons with a Stihl 039 back in the day and didn’t need another saw, I wouldn’t pick it.

I’d pick an 064, 046, or 7900.
Any would fit the bill for my needs.
I have a 272xp as well that would probably do just as good.

I'd like my ported 044 with a 20" or 28" bar. That will handle pretty much anything. If I need some extra grunt I go for the 066!

You gourd right ahead...I don't need that Thang. But I'd certainly like to see a wired for sound, geeked up/ported build thread on one. Would be kinda cool to see what one would do after a little time on the OR table. I think I remember one time in the past a build/port thread/some vids maybe on the Wild Thangs.
