So I just wanted a spare parts saw…bought a pretty clean runner instead…made nasty noises, water in cyl, rusty brgs…got a partial refund. Probably should have just left it as spare parts but now it’s a project that I don’t know when I’ll get back to, maybe not ‘til summer. Might ship it off to be built/ported. Crank just showed up today but I still need to order gaskets and bearings, etc.

I'd day that cylinder is more than run-able. I would make sure to get any high spots down too if there is and. And the plating is SUPER thin in these particular cylinders.

I had 2 jugs like that and was like “the heck is this?” Turns out it was just “cast in” from the factory if you get what I mean

Mike did it on a 2150 chassis not a 2159. Chainsaw Jim did the 272 on a 359
