Ported 6100 would be a good time for you Keith. Or a 5105, nice little saws.
I haven't received it yet, but I just bought a 6100 from eBay (something that I normally don't do) wanted to see what all the hype is about. Couldn't resist after watching Jack's bench top video at Hotsaws101...

Helluva 60cc saw, very well designed. There are a few fine folk upon this site that deal in the Dolmar/Makita products the next time you get an itch, amigo...at least if you want a new one :)
I just couldn't pass this one up, wanted $320. or best offer I offered $280. And didn't expect him to accept the offer but..
Only supposed to have 9-10 tanks thru it, we'll see. I put a link in the Craigslist/eBay thread, good deal or not we will see. I had to get in on the Stratification craze. Next I need to get a teal 9010 from across the pond.....

Husky 371 used and abused when it was found 5 year's ago it was in a dumpster.
I rebuilt it he wanted a big bore
So i put it together with cabers.
New everything lines boot carb kit etc.
It's spent the last 5 year's cutting firewood for 4 families.
I checked it today still great compression filthy as hell Honestly hasn't been cleaned in 5 year's
Still runs damn good.20170805_134310.jpg 20170805_134338.jpg

Thanks buddy. Thats alil big for what I need . 390xp and 064/066 takin care of all my big stuff. Im feelin small saws more lately, 241c,346xp, and wouldnt mind a 421:)
421 is a neat little saw just seems to like being pushed hard. The new little Makita 3601 is a bit smaller I am going to try it out for awhile.

I agree. It is my favorite saw.

Hope it runs as strong as mine. If so it should put a smile on your face.

I feel sure it will, for the price $280 shipped I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try one out. I love the 6400-7900 series saws, have you ran a 6400, if so how do they compare? Its probably going to feel somewhat odd to me, my EA5000(5105) felt strange for awhile due to being a different chassis. I put a link in the craigslist /eBay thread check it out and give me your opinion. I wasn't expecting him to accept my offer he was asking $320 . And it being a low use saw (stated 9-10 tanks ? we'll see) that surprised me.
