I would suggest steering clear of the 550xp 1 as it was riddled with computer problems (and I speak from experience). Ive heard good things about the ms261 saws and just ordered one for an employee.
P.s. no one ever intends to get into "heavy work".

The 550 mk2 or 261v2 are a good 50cc saw. The smaller 241 I have no experiences with. Pick the one you like the feel of. I’m gonna guess the money you save with the 550mk2 buys a few spare chains or bar.... if that matters to you.

I too have also had my share. However some people have had zero.

the mark II has been remarked as the second coming round these parts ;)

If I had to choose it be the Husky 550 mark II.

It's a no brainier really as no bars for those Stihls but gots huskys.

545 is not xp.
New 550xp for 560€ is very good price.
40€ is common price difference between 550xp and 545.

Never heard of an ms242cm, does this saw actually exist?

Ms241cm is a badass 40cc. saw.

For that price difference, I would definitely go for the new 550xp. If every dollar left went to baby food the used 261.

If you can swing it I’d buy a new 261. That will be my next saw.

How much to get the 241Cm here?
If it's nice that is a good bang for my buck but shipping and money moves usually kill these deals across the pond.

Most people want more than a 48cc work saws but I don't need one. 40-42 is what I want.

I just realized your question was “which one of these is the Best Buy” and not “which one of these should I buy.”

On used saws- condition is a variable that would affect price. Not knowing that- no one can answer the question.

of those models- I would take a 261cm. I’ve owned every saw on the list.

The used 261 is the best buy, provided it’s truly in good condition. The 241 is also a good buy, but I feel they need port work to be satisfying.

The consensus is that the newer Husky and Stihl computer saws have fewer issues. Personally I have run into problems with both. Mostly hot starting issues. I would see a bigger gamble buying new because you’re out more if it has problems. The odds might be better with the new saws though.
