Set up a kill room like in dexter, plastic tarp everywhere, you walk inside hose it off and walk back out. AKA a paint booth, if nothing else lay down a tarp or old ugly rug then use some shower curtains, hang them from the basement ceiling with bike hooks. Would make the mess more managable

I thought you meant something totally different when I first started reading this. I was thinking "damn, I don't need a place to spray the crap THAT bad".

I use canola in most of my saws so if something is going to be stripped down it just gets air compressor outside. Where I have a problem is when I get a new used saw covered in caked sawdust/petrolium oil its a bit of a pita as I don't want that stuff on my lawn. I then use a chemical blast over plugged sink in shop. Pantellis has best way, but he has everything good for saw repair.

I can reach outside with the hose if it's really a ugly saw.

a can of degreaser, take the top , recoil and clutch covers off. and hit it with the pressure washer. bring it inside to blow dry it.. especially the crank case. perfect job real quick.

One gent of whom I won't mention who spends lots of time on a site I also won't mention strips the saw apart and puts the parts in the dishwasher . WTH it's a saw not a surgical instrument .

That's more than I'm willing to do. I don't want to eat with it and I'm not really concerned with the look. I just want clean parts to put back together.
