Gonna need pics of that!!!

Tacking the pieces of cut-up donor pipes together:

Finished, along with CT70 pipe guard and mystery silencer. Also in this pic is the Kickstarter from a 450exc KTM, footpeg(s) from 1992 YZ250, and rear shocks from a 650 Seca streetbike:

Visible here is the Yamaha YZ front wheel (awesome brake) and the XR200 forks and triple clamps, and the CR80 carb if you look closely, as well as the RM250/400 tank:

Lastly, a repair made at the races- I snapped one of those footpegs clean off on a rock about halfway through the first lap. Dad's quick thinking allowed me to keep racing for 4 more laps, only lost about 3 minutes on this fix. The 3/8" extension was a perfect (interference) fit!

That's awesome!
Pipe looks great!!
CR80 Mikuni is enough to feed it?

Keihin. Stock on this bike was a 28mm, and thats what the CR80 carb is. Kind of small for sure, considering that most 125s today come with 36mm mixers, but it helps with the low-end having a smaller carb on. This bike isn't really a screamer (although the pipe helped A LOT), but it is super strong off the bottom and in the mid. I have a 30mm Mikuni that I would like to try on it, but the spigot diameter is the next size up so I need a larger intake boot. It would never be competitive in MX, but it holds its own in the 200cc Cross Country class, against a slew of 175 Can Ams.

Went hiking today, don't know if it counts as a hobby because I don't do it regularly. But I enjoy it when I do get to do it. Stupid operator forgot to remove battery from the camera so it was DOA at the trail head. :BangHead:

That reminds me of a story, the first time my neighbor set up his hydralic wood splitter my mom was like, that guy has a missle launcher! Sigh.

My other hobbies, besides hiking, are wood carving and annoying my neighbors with loud noises! Not really but they might think so. You guys haven't helped it either.

That's a cool hobby. a good friend is into it pretty big. He was Meade's astrophotographer of the year, a few years ago. He has a good website, www.qteaser.com.
If that's your buddy's setup on the site, very nice. The metal building observatory is cool...like the sliding roof. One helluva scope setup and great pics.

MTSO stands for Marks Tin Shed Observatory . He was injured at work years ago and cannot work, he then got MS for the double whammy. This is his pastime and passion. He also has a solarscope that is cool. A few years ago, when Venus traversed the sun we were able to look at it through the scope. I think there is some pictures on his site. We got some strange looks from people driving by with us looking through the scope at the sun. I also threw a shade 13 lens in my welding hood and you could see it with the naked eye, but it was better with sunglasses under the hood.

How is the light pollution where ya'll are at? From the pics on the site, seems very little if any unless using good filters. I'm eat up with light pollution so some of my viewing is with filters.
