Well in that case, you gotta take it easy.

And you could always charge a "hot job" fee for the pushy people.

The place I work has that option for customers at a 20-30% charge. Oh course we dont see any of it lol.

I've had a few guys offer to pay double if I can do it immediately. Never felt right about it......but have took the money a couple of times when I needed the extra cash.

She says I can’t sit still.

I've got some saws here that have been here for months. Hell, I didn't sleep well last night thinking about all I had to do.

I've stopped taking on used saws, stopped scheduling work altogether, but still so far behind it's troubling to me.

I really wish I had some good help.

Same here. Between kids, garden, working, fixing the boat and just life stuff, I never am able to keep on top of the chores as well as I'd like. Thank goodness I'm able to have a guy help me 1/2 day per week to tidy up.

Gave away all my time and the favors that never came back. Was a fool thinking I had friends to bank away some time to fix up our place when we bought a home of our own.

Well, not exactly a friend...let's just call him a paid friend.

Get some 'Work Aways'...there's an elderly couple here that uses the program and it's great. People show up and work for free, you just have to provide a meal per day, a room to sleep and they work like half a day for two weeks.

LMAO!!! That will never fly here. People are entitled to more than that they will tell you. The ones that do show up will be a fifty fifty on when they come back to clean you out. This is New Jersey, not where your from or any of our mid-western more normal states here. This is the "ratrace" of the East coast. NY to DC. Be sharp or get ripped off. The meek people around here get nothing or less. If we let people in our houses that did not rob us they will be filing a lawsuit instead. Yea, I do mean all that and it is what it is. My reality is not the same or anything like yours.

We were much the same when we lived in Athens. We moved out to the country permanently quite a few years back and haven't regretted it one bit. Whole different ball game in the city though. Me being a born country boy, I was a little stifled you could say living in the city.
