Nothin wrong with that, 181/281/288 same family. Not sure on exact displacement, 80 or 81cc. Should be a beast.

Chain break parts are a bugger to find i think, as well as some other bits buts most stuff is available and some aftermarket support as well.

Yep, 181SE, 1984 I believe, 81cc, 52mm bore and should have a thin ring piston, Tillotson HS series carb. Some 181 specific stuff is NLA but most parts interchange with the 281 and 288

The reason it can anchor the boat is because it is walking the bottom looking for Stihls to eat that people through in the river.

Tough old saws, pretty much can still be serviced with new, meaning that the whole modern part can be used, such as a whole new starter or chain brake. All the little parts different story, they won't cross over. I do have some stuff here, if ya get in a bind, give me a holler. SS
