Did you vac test?

If bearings on way, coulda torqued a seal.

Shearing a Stihl key ain't easy.

Doc like I said I have limited experience with this model, but the hand full I have worked on (can't remember the exact number, more than a few but less than a dozen) have all had sheared keys. I am not sure why that is, maybe the flywheel is so heavy that when the saw stalls suddenly there is more inertia than the key can take?

mushed up key, only about half sheared
of course being neurotic i have tear it all down and go through the whole saw, pressure/vac test etc.
went ahead and dropped in a new HT-12 for giggles
I got pics but no time to post them now
might as well finish two more of them while everything is on the bench

Went to see spider-man (good movie), maybe fire it up tomorrow aftwrnoon.
This cold is kickin my butt
It was a lot better movie than I expected. The wife is into Marvel and I've not cared about that stuff since I was barely a teenager. I'll go see the next one probably
