What do you weld with ?

I use a campbell house flux and a solar mig welder. Nothing fancy but they work.

Lincoln Pro Mig 140. Someday I will own a Tig welder and actually be able to use it well.

These will do about all I need to do. I do really like how the everlast pa 200 welds. runs 7018's like butter. also has a 6010 port. Probably never run the old craftsman AC-DC again.

I use ace/ox and a Miller Cricket wire welder. The Cricket never did very good welds but I found out this year it was the wire the local welding shop was supplying was of poor quality. The new wire I got through Amazon welds very good but for very small items I still prefer the ace/ox welder. I haven't needed to weld aluminum items yet but get a welder for that if needed.

I use a portable battery-powered Ready Welder mig gun for big machines broken in the field. It puts out 275 amps of pure DC with 2 batteries, and 375 amps with 3 batteries. I've done aluminum with it. I recently bought a Miller AEAD200le AC/DC stick welder/generator on a trailer for next to nothing. The Onan runs well, but it won't weld DC. I think I've identified the problem.

Ive seen your welds....if hangers and Oxy teaches kids to weld that well, then where do I git me some ?

( and can it work for old fat guys too or just kids )

How have I missed this post? I have a Miller 252 Mig, Miller Bobcat 250, Miller Econotig (looking to upgrade), a Hypertherm plasma cutter, and a Hobart buzz box AC/DC machine.

Have been using a lincoln weldpack for several years now. Simple wirefeed fluxcore....no gas capabilities. Havent used the old Forney hot box since then...was my grandfathers. The little wirefeed works great for my needs. Mostly for fun, projects and the occasional angleiron ac or cooler stand. Got tired of buying the 1lb spools locally$$....purchased a 10lber on ebay for $50...Cut the sides off an old empty 1lb spool to slide inside the 10lb spool to fit properly.

Since i started about 20 years ago....have gotten a little better at welding....and a lot better at grinding!!

Lincoln AC/DC 225/125. Nice little tombstone. It never comes off of DC+.
Lincoln Weld Pak 180 that I only use flux core in. If I ever need to so real thin stuff I will set it up for MIG. I like FC a lot more.

Hobart 170 mig, Lincoln stick and Lincoln 100 mig. Fixing to build an HHO torch, also have a Thermal Dynamics plasma cutter. Am now building a capacitor discharge spot welder for repairing large jet thrust reverser SS insulation blankets, see photos. Purchased the unpopulated boards and programmed processor. The electronics were designed by Fritz Geyser, I designed the enclosure, purchased all the components, cut all the holes and placed them all, populated the boards then wired everything. The display shows the fully adjustable pulse 1 and 2 for timing and voltage settings. This is an 800 watt 25 volt CDSW, a very useful and versatile electronic devise.
