I haven't noticed any lack in performance from my MMWS 7910 with the HD filter and it keeps the fines out better.

Regardless.....when the most knowledgeable and oldest Dolmar dealership in the US tells me that the HD ain’t worth it, I listen.

Just figure since these saws are limited by the coil simply tuning correctly for the filter you have on it could nullify those gains in the cut, and rpm in the cut is what really matters at the end of the day, I should have my new kit and filter setup here tomorrow and I will try and get some vids with it with the reg filter and HD filter tuned by tach at the same rpm using same bar and chain in same wood, that way it's as fair as can be

With a full wrap and hd filter though? That’s roughly $150-200 Value alone to buy out right.
Kept the wrap handle, but it had the HD filter setup still. The wrap handle was $138 alone.

They marked that handle up quite a bit, I paid $90.00 and complained, picked up a wrap kit with large Dawgs for 395 same day at the same ship $15.00 OEM

I had trouble getting them to tune and not feel like they were dogs with the HD setup. Seen them suck the choke shut too after porting.

I can go longer between clean outs with the HD filter. Call me lazy, just never call me.

That said, it's a fickle beast to stay well tuned if the weather is changing. I had an almost 10-day stretch of bluebird days here recently and the saw told me the weather was turning long before the clouds and rain showed up.

My carb was modified by @Poleman and I never had to touch the screws, whether it was 100+ or below freezing.

Please explain... For educational purposes? @Poleman ???

That’s why we are here, right?

Yes please, would be great to read what can be done. I love my 7900 but the tune does fluctuate with the weather more than I'd like. It's not like I see massive altitude changes either.

No worries. You looking to part with that 7900 top end?

My "new to me" 7900 has seen better days. Not sure the extent of the damage yet. I'll be happy just to receive it (Facebook purchase). It's going to be shipped tonight. I figured it was worth $130 shipped.

He mods the carbs real good. Not sure what he does. I don't have one but have heard good things
