What do you guys weld mag with ? Does an aluminum spool gun stick to it like a dirt bike case ?

Dirt bike cases must be aluminum then ? i have repaired those with a spool gunTig with AZ92A filler. No, spool guns with aluminum wire doesn't work well on mag; especially on thin, multifaceted things like chainsaw cases.
Nice work.Stihl 046 with bad rod bearing run too long.

I decided to pull the jug and take .040" off the base and set squish to .019". Raised the exhaust up to 104°, raised transfers to 124°, epoxied intake up to 76°. Made a few test cuts a couple nights ago. It runs a little hotter with more compression, but so far so good on the RN welded exhaust flange. It does, but we need to see something repaired
His initials wouldn't happen to be PRW, would they ??It's not a save but a method .My little sparing partner from Chico Cal. once made some b9ld statement I couldn't weld worth a hoot . So how about two tin cans with a torch .Never as much as a peep out of him since
