If you have a new saw under warranty, follow the owners handbook and run a good synthetic at 40:1/ 50:1, as required by warranty. I use Echo Powerblend 2-cycle oil. Not sure i would want to rely on info from (unknown) people hiding their names and showing avatars LOL? What/ which info to take seriously??i am new to chainsaws so i was wondering about this,,, my cousin, since he is a tree cutter,, said i need to mix canola oil at a 75-1 ratio with non ethonol 90 octane,, he said he has done that for years and never had any saw seize up,,, just wondering about it,,, also how often are you suppose to sharpen your blade,,, i just bought a poulan wild thing at walmart and it has an 18" blade on it,,, i will be cutting hedge and oak with it
