Been a while since I updated this thread, I've been very busy and work on the new building has been progressing.

Siding is on the front and sides, a little bit to finish up on the west (back/shop) end of the building. I'm still waiting for someone to step up with a big sign.

Drywall is up and painting is done. Another crew finished the floors today. Up front is "grind and seal", not exactly polished down to the aggregate but it will look good for my purposes.

The shop is a light grey finish, not an epoxy but something they tell me is more resilient and holds up better.

The ceiling is up in the covered parking area.

Power is connected to the building but none of the devices have been installed yet. Hopefully the electricians will be back next week to finish their part.

Meanwhile, I have been adding a few more saws for the display.

Wright 141 to compliment the Dayton 2Z462A already in the display. Now I need to find a Poulan 401 to complete the ensemble.

The Titan 70 is also new to me and will replace the one in the display that has a broken fuel tank. I have another tank on hand and will make that saw into a runner when time allows.

This Poulan KD100 is now up front as well. I took it with me to Tennessee and last week to Pennsylvania and made a few cuts with it. Now it is cleaned up and ready for being looked at.

There are a few more that will need some serious attention before I can bring them forward.

Nice! I've had a micro xxv like that or two. Seems like I've been seeing a lot of the titan series saws come up on eBay lately.

Man, the building is looking fantastic, Mark. I hope to make the trip someday.
It is definitely worth the trip!! I was able to make it back in August, but it was a whirlwind trip from Idaho to Indiana and back, but made sure to pass through Dike and stop to visit Mark. It was hard not to pick up all of the chainsaws and look them over!!

That's all just storage, the display area is even more impressive.
It is reassuring to know that there is always someone out there that has it worse than me! 🤣

That is impressive when you have to buy old store shelving to store the saws waiting for cleaning/restoration!

Busy day at the museum today. Line crew was relocating some phone/data lines in the alley, garage door was installed, HVAC crew were starting to install the mini splits, and another crew were working on the gutters.

Unfortunately the crew that did the grind & seal on the floors will need to come back and correct some deficiencies later this week.

Definitive Dave Smith pass this sign along to me a couple of years ago at the MM GTG.

Finally got it placed yesterday.

Food vendors like to set up in front of my building, yesterday was "Dragon Express".

Mark
Is the "Dragon Express" Meal RED MEAT cooked to "RARE? Or just fast Dragon food?
Nice progress on your Museum.

A better view of the front. Waiting on the gooseneck lamps for the big sign, I will have to get busy next week getting the inside cleaned up. The chrome wire shelving for the display area arrived this week, might take a couple of days to get them all set up.

One year ago today the street was cut open in order to run the new water line into the building space. They just got around to patching the asphalt a few weeks back.
