How on earth do you assemble this thing? I have tried numerous times and cant get it together. I have looked at YouTube videos that dont help at all. Not sure if something is bent or out of whack.

throw the plastic shield away, than attach tje powerhead to the mount. they do come with instructions. its not rocket appliance.
Instructions are less than ideal, motor portion has a peg or nub on the back that doesn't align with anything and sets the base and motor assembly wonky.

Did you cut the zip-tie to unload the main spring?
Any pics of what is confusing you?
They honestly are quite simple

Bingo. I didn't realize there were zip ties on it. That explains the lack of movement. When I get home later, if i haven't figured it out I'll post up pictures.

The end of the bolt is covered with slag but you can see where it is.
This is an Oregon grinder but they are about the same.
I don't have the Vevor anymore but remember enough.

The bolt wont line up.

On the second one I bought, the bolt head was a tight fit in the recess. It should go down in there quite a ways, from the front to the back, and I had to tap it down in there with a punch to get it to stick through enough to catch the nut inside the thumb knob. The bolt goes through the oblong curved slot in the base piece; the nub cast into the back of the swivel head mating surface goes into the round center hole as the pivot. I "think" I remember being momentarily puzzled about how everything was supposed to line up when I put together the first one - maybe I was trying to put the bolt through the center hole instead of the slot. I don't remember.

Good luck!

To anyone who may run into this issue in the future like I did. The bold doesn't go through the hole in the middle of the base. It goes in the head tilt slot. That is where I was having my issue.

Vevor as a company sucks you know in my dealings with them. This is related to a Vacuum Packing Machine. No replacement parts for a new machine. YMMV.
