How on earth do you assemble this thing? I have tried numerous times and cant get it together. I have looked at YouTube videos that dont help at all. Not sure if something is bent or out of whack.

Did you cut the zip-tie to unload the main spring?
Any pics of what is confusing you?
They honestly are quite simple

Bingo. I didn't realize there were zip ties on it. That explains the lack of movement. When I get home later, if i haven't figured it out I'll post up pictures.

The end of the bolt is covered with slag but you can see where it is.
This is an Oregon grinder but they are about the same.
I don't have the Vevor anymore but remember enough.

The bolt wont line up.

On the second one I bought, the bolt head was a tight fit in the recess. It should go down in there quite a ways, from the front to the back, and I had to tap it down in there with a punch to get it to stick through enough to catch the nut inside the thumb knob. The bolt does through the oblong curved slot in the base piece; the nub cast into the back of the swivel head mating surface goes into the round center hole as the pivot. I "think" I remember being momentarily puzzled about how everything was supposed to line up when I put together the first one - maybe I was trying to put the bolt through the center hole instead of the slot. I don't remember.

Good luck!
