I have a good relationship with my local letter carrier; he likes his job. I know guys that retired from the USPS; said the job had lots of 'politics' like any other large organization, aside from the government politics, but otherwise liked the job, benefits, etc. I worked with a retired postal inspector who had lots of stories that I would never have imagined being connected to his job; a lot more that forging coupons or phony sweepstakes entries. I thought his job could be a TV show: sort of like Cliff Clavin meets NCIS.Honestly when was the last time anybody heard anything good about working for the post office?
It's important. We depend on it. It's not perfect. I would like to see problems addressed and the service continue.
