I get the three pack at the Sthilership for 5$.

Buy them by the dozen. Anything Swiss is usually real good. Woodland pro from baileys are good but you kinda need to be placing a bulk order.

If, I was to buy a double bevel file to butcher er file .325 chain.
Is there a certain size that works for this?

Files for square filing aren't specific to different size chains. That said, there are different designs, double bevel, hexagonal, etc. One design may be more helpful for the smaller cutters, but I'm not the guy with that info.

.325 is a bugger to square, not much room in there and you have to pay mind to the straps. Can be done though.


I'd imagine the triangle might be good at this application but I've never used one.

Only one I could file was Stihl chain. The other makers were too small.
