Trimmer Head for STIHL Guards

FS 91 R trimmer. I like the Echo Speed-Feed head; however, it will not line up the string with the string cutter. It moves the string exactly one inch below the middle of the string cutter and by doing so, misses the string cutter completely. I've got the AutoCut 27-2 on there now, but it's always breaking the string off at the eyelets. Is there any other trimmer head on the market that will work with a STIHL trimmer guard?

Have you tried soaking your trimmer line? I had a lot of customers I had that complained of trimmer line breaking off (too easily) and I recommended they soak their line in water. This is actually recommended by Stihl:

"A few tips to help you as the season approaches: trimmer line is hygroscopic; this means that it will absorb moisture. Actually, STIHL premium line will absorb 5% of its own weight in water. Trimmer line does tend to dry out over time and becomes more brittle. Storing it or soaking it in water will help reduce line breakage and make the line more flexible."

Also depending on the age of the line and how it has been stored may also affect it too. This helped customers that were trimming around fence posts and rocks and the line would more readily bend around them when hitting instead of just snapping off.

I've been running the Husqvarna Titanium string. I haven't soaked it yet. I find that if I let the string get too short, it breaks off easier. Today I was bumping the head more often in an effort to keep the string from getting too short. It's the edging that wears the string down so fast.

Soaking the string helps a lot.
Make sure the eyelets where the string feeds out are not worn and shearing off the string. The eyelets are available separately on the earlier (25-2) heads, I assume they are on the 27-2 as well.
You could try a 25-2, they have been used for years and always worked fine for me.
If the head hangs down too far, you may need a different deflector like the one with the removable extension. 5,6,7 in the diagram.
This style typically came on the bike handled models. Remove the extension when using a brush blade, install it when using a string head.

Would have to look and see but Stihl may make a quick load head for that one also like
I used on the fs 45/46. Cut 2 6’ pieces of trimmer line line up arrows push the line in holes and wind up. Like others have said soak your line and check to see if any burrs are on the holes where the line comes out and sand them out if there is.
