If you would cut a slab off that log it would make for a real neat looking round/coffee table. The grains in that wood look awsome.

Helping local cemetery....the boy scouts helped by doing a clean up after a huge storm came threw. They didn't have the funds to pay for a company to come in...so we donated our time..... Adult s. Cut and the boys handle the brush and so on.....my 395 getting a work out on cotton wood tree.

Looks like pin oak to me...

The leaves would tell us for sure, as pin oak and water oak leaves are distinctly different. It really doesn't matter though.

I was thinking pin oak to but didn't want to say since I wasn't 100% sure.

Just trying to learn from the saw gurus. Just picked up a new 372XP, a 395XP and a 3120XP. Finally getting into Husky power. Bought 2 on ebay and one in Canada. Cannot wait to get them in hand.

I am from Barbados, but Chisel knows me from Treebuzz. An arborist site I been on for a good few years. Loving this site. I have always done muffler mods and on the 201t's timing advance, but that is it. So trying to learn here for my bigger saws.
