Come on down here to South Central Virginia, you'll get over that! Poison ivy, wild grape and multiflora rose abound, especially on field edges. And then the honeysuckle will trip you up in the vegetation.
We have the same up here in Iowa a long the rivers. Been dealing with it all winter! Some of the poison ivy vines that grow up the trees gets dam big. Good thing I’m not allergic to it, some of the other guys are break out pretty bad

Yup, them sunzabitchin pricker vines got my nutsack and surrounding areas real good ! I had to grin & bear it after several futile efforts to gingerly get out. Spent the next few minutes pulling the torn off stickers outta my areas of my pants that were covering them sensitive areas !

They look dirty!!! This is why I had my friend weld this up for me, with two wheelbarrow tires.

Clean wood = Happy Chain!!!

I've been wanting to rig up a ATV log arch. I plan on just going out with a bristle broom when it gives a down pour and scrub the dirt off. I don't need to put a chain in them again until they are peeled tho

Usually raise it with a Timber Jack. I'm low tech, my ATV is my largest piece of off-road equipment!

If they are not too large, sometimes I will just lift them.

I bought my 50 acres from a Timber Company, so virtually nothing is over 20".

My feeble attempt to use a second tree to knock down the first tree that is hung up in the canopy.

This is the only picture I got. After I finally got it wedged over, it didn't have enough momentum to knock down the first tree and also got hung up. At this time they were above two 4" diameter trees. I proceeded to get a rope near the top to dislodge the pair. I attempted to pull them towards the poorer of the two 4" trees. When they finally fell, they smashed the tree I was attempting to miss and the sacrificial tree was unscathed.
To top off the day, while trimming off some dead branches in a different woods, the branch smacked my big toe. Looks like I will be getting a new toenail in the future.
