That’s what I find to be interesting. For my 075 Stihl called for 40:1 and the 088 50:1 so this isn’t something new. I’ve run 50:1 in my 460 for it’s entire life. Does he want 32 in all his builds or just the more edgy ones?

I believe he wants it in all of them. A little extra oil certainly doesn’t hurt anything, especially when we warranty our builds and want them to last

Nothing wrong with 32:1 at all. None of my friends saws look like this picture at 50:1.



I agree with the builders, 32:1 is better

I switched to 32:1 in all my OPE about a year ago. With a good oil and a good tune, 32:1 will keep your saw well lubed, and won’t cause plug fouling or carbon buildup.

I've got Three Tree Monkey saws 038Mag, 500I and 661 and Scott put 32:1 stickers on all of them.
