How many of you saw junkies own one? Any owner feed back on likes and/or dislikes? There's only two of us in our house, and we currently use a Weber Q. It's plenty for us by ourselves, but I want to move into something a tad bigger for the few times a year that we actually entertain. The Q is only good for about 4 medium steaks at best (two big t-bones), and three good sized pork steaks have it maxed out. We're planning a small party for my birthday in a couple weeks and I'm going to need a bit more grill space than I currently have. Traeger is currently at the top of our list.

Please discuss...

Baked. Gonna need sour cream and bacon bits, if it's not too much trouble.

Just checked out their website. Those are some sweet looking grills! That first one, in bronze would be my pick. If I had a grand burning a hole in my pocket.

I don't own one but my assistant and her family have three at different houses. They absolutely love them but remember they are not a grill. If your looking to pump out 6 or 8 steaks they are not what you are looking for. They really are best suited to low and slow, the smoke infuses nicely in to the meat, never the searing heat that leaves grill marks.

Up here Costco has one in store, I would check there before you bought anything.

They are awesome but it is a lomger process to get the finished product. Prime rib on one is amazing no doubt. There's a lot of different options for smoker chips as well. The one my brother has has a remote with it that monitors and can be adjusted with the remote. They are well worth the money in my opinion.

We settled out on the Traeger Pro Series 22. It really seems to be a well constructed unit. Super easy to put together. Just bolt on the legs, handles, and chimney, and you're ready to fire it up for the seasoning burn. Got it assembled and seasoned last night, and will have to throw a butt or something else yum this weekend. I could go for a rack of baby back ribs. :hambre:

My little Weber Q looks midgetesque in the background. That little bastard has cooked a boat load of meat in the time that I've had it.

Very nice. Everyone I know that has one uses it on a very regular basis. They seem to be built for the long haul that's for sure. Money well spent my friend. I might get one this year hopefully. That is if I can quit spending money on guns and saws and dirtbike parts. Hahaha

Just the initial seasoning burn to burn off the insides. I'll probably cook something on it tomorrow.

I've cooked on it twice now. Saturday, I completely destroyed a gorgeous rack of pork ribs by cooking it too long. Very depressing. One of the things about the Traeger is that it has a fan inside and cooks with convection along with the smoke. I didn't take that feature into account and ruined my dinner.......real bad.

Tonight though, I bought a real nice wild-caught sockeye salmon filet and glazed it with a mix of mayo and dijon. It turned out fantastic. Probably the best piece of salmon that I've ever cooked. The smoke really set it off. The Wife raved about it. I think I redeemed myself from Saturday.
