Good Evening!

I was wondering if some members that used the aftermarket type filters which require some modification could chime in. Like for example benefits, drawbacks, likes/dislikes. Thank you for any input, would you run the same system again? or would you change to other options?

Maybe any pictures, experiences et cetra

I'm running a vstack and a Uni two stage filter on my 288. I thought it would get in the way but it doesn't at all. My only complaint is that the outer red prefilter works it's way off with vibrations from the saw. I think I seen @Deets066 fighting the same thing on his 2100 at Randy's GTG.

So those that run this system are you sold on them or are their days times that stock has its merits? Just curious because I am interested in and would like more insider knowledge!

I have a 2100 Husky, west coaster that has a Vee with a K and N filter .I don't know if it's just a west coast thing or if it really works better than a stock filter .For that matter I have no idea if the engine is stock or tweeked .Never had the cylinder off .Cuts good, starts hard .That thing has a lot of carb ,real easy to flood, pain in the buttocks in that perspective .

There really is no benefit of a stock pleated filter or even a mesh style compared to some of the foam filters that have been mentioned. No fines are let through and longer intervals between cleanings with an oiled foam filter.

I've never used one, but I would think the benefit if a stock setup would be use in inclement weather. Am I wrong in thinking that you wouldn't want one of those foam filters exposed to rain or snow?

Only other thing I can think of would be if you're cutting in steep ground. If your saw accidentally rolled over, would the filter or stack stand to be knocked off or otherwise damaged?

same stack fits 026-066 easy to try it on different saws

can be used without an air filter base or with depending on how creative you want to be or if you know a guy who is clever :)

generally badass without a filter at all, or so I tell myself

available in the turbo express model for chainsaws with fuel injection and/or turbochargers
