Your saws will be close in the woods making money for a shady local crew. The crack heads all have networks just like the gangs. They might leave town to the nearest city and be sold cheap, not likely. Most steal what they can sell to a local fence, immediately for cash, smokes or drugs.

Two houses over from me just got robbed at 12:30 lunch today. My neighbor saw them taking the microwave and something else from a just rehabbed bank owned. They are everywhere around here empty and I have been waiting for this *s-word to start. She has my number now and knows to call me first. Maybe we sort the rest out later, meh maybe not. I rarely hang around for paperwork reports and such. I like to watch from the wings.

Edit:
I might need to order one of those custom fancy new ax handles from NY. Firewood money well spent, "lol"...

I suspect if the equipment hasn't hit any nearby pawn shops or Craigslist or doesn't shortly it is definitely in the hands of somebody making money with it. I ran a tree service for several years and have put the word out to all of the guys I know. I also know a lot of local loggers that are keeping an eye out. Aside from those possibilities they are history. Our only other hope of finding the culprit is that often that somebody's lips get loosened by their vices and information leaks out. Hopefully I will get to post good news on this thread at some point.

A vice grip on the door channel just above the roller will keep it nice and shut.
My garage door has a slide latch, but I only use it if I will be away for a while. Don't want to latch it every time I go in and out - I thought that the opener did that!

...But then you gotta exit out of the home through the front/back door after its put in place. We men-folk could handle a regimen like that, a woman damn sure ain’t gonna get into that routine though. They want the simplicity of pushing a remote button...and most will probably back out of the driveway and never check to see that it closed fully, or something was possibly blocking a bottom mount sensor. Best thing to do with those sensors is mount them above the door on the inside, a couple feet away and aimed at each other and be done with them.

I welcome it. They can clean some of the stuff up my kids leave in there.

We have had that with several cars left in the street. Stuff taken. People smoking inside. Radios ripped out. Recently one neighbor had his truck broken into, and they used his door remote to open the garage and steal his wife's SUV. She got it back a few days later, but sort of trashed out. Wee keep ours in the garage.

I have no openers in my cars and my wife works over nights so the van is gone and all that left is my junk with no mufflers or anything of value in them lol.

If you are in New Castle you are near forum member "Stihlbro". You may want to message Joey to have him be on the lookout as well. Good luck on recovering your items.

*f-wording hate thieves....had a 3000 watt yamaha inverter genset stolen right outside my house about 3 years ago...I normally kept it chained to the frame of the parking structure, but one day I moved it and forgot to rechain it up...scumbags must have been watching and noticed it unlocked.
