This is my sons Stihl. My son is 6. He's had this saw for 2 years and I haven't changed the batteries yet. How's that for being fuel efficient!

First you gots ta have a velocity stackthen the filter just clamps on, it's a Uni filter that I bought off eBay for $15

That is one of the plans I have for this one, My co-worker keeps telling me how awesome his stock 290 is......He's going to have a rude surprisee.

I "bought" this one from Definitive Dave. The 192 series is not amount his favorites and I picked it up last spring for a song. He sent me a carb kit and I muffler modded it. I love this little bugger! It runs much better than I ever would have been led to believe from some reviews. I'm going to advance the timing shortly.

My 1999 026 Pro. This one will get some attention in the future. Very low hours. I plan on having it massaged and run it against my 5100s

Better filtration over stock, fines can't get under the filter like stock

Thanks. I'm sure it's been that way since day one. My dad never had it serviced. Serial number starts with a 2, built in the US? Must have been a rough day for that worker. Hard to believe I never noticed it.
