Yes, Stihl roller chain catch fits.
I don't know the part number though.

@SOS Ridgerider ?

Thank you !
I was looking at the Stihl

Ernie
I can confirm that the Stihl does fit, and I have installed that style on pretty much every Dolmar/Makita saw I have in the 64-79cc range.
I don’t know the part number, but the one @Wilhelm it up is what I’ve been using.

Got my 510 piston solved. It was the incorrect circlips... New ones from the seller worked just fine!

New problem, now with the 7900

I disassembled the chain brake and something popped out of place. Seems to be the linkage, but I'm not sure how it's supposed to go. Can anyone explain? Thanks!

Ouch!
You do not want that linkage to pop out, it is a pain in the butt to get it back where it belongs.

Change the sprocket out, it is trash.

If I see this correctly, the linkage (yellow arrow) needs to face down.
To get it there You will have to super compress the spring (green arrow).
To my knowledge there is a special shop tool for doing this, I remember doing it with pliers and I was on the brink of crying.

Good luck!

This did it! One pair of channel locking pliers on the green spring, and a second pair of pliers pulling down the chain linkage. No tears shed, but I'd rather not have to do it again... haha

Thank you for the help!

Almost 3 tanks of fuel through my PS-6100CE , on one chain , oak & beech firewood logs.
This doesn't happen often, no idea what I did to the chain to hold up this good.
The chain is still self feeding, I may try and use it more and see how long it will hold up.
The logs are fairly clean, but still they are skidded firewood logs.
Dragon Slayer also performed admirably, I noodled only 4 rounds, 3 beech and 1 oak.
The logs are semi dry, been sitting since last years late summer.
This is one afternoon (1PM till 8PM) worth of work.

PS-6100 MMWS came out to play alongside my PS-6100CE.
Damn she's volatile!
Ran another 1 1/2 tank of fuel through my PS-6100CE without touching up the chain (Dolmar 099, round ground), I am impressed.

This was after 3 tanks of fuel worth of bucking.
I love this chain and whatever the Oregon equivalent of it is!

I used to run 20", 24" & 36" bars on my PS-7900 with the 20" being the primary setup.
With a 20" she wanted more load so I would set the chains rakers aggressively.

With my PS-9010 taking over the 36" B&C setup and me acquiring more saws I now run 20" .404" on my primary PS-7900 and 24" 3/8" on my secondary PS-7900.
