Haha, I'll admit that I didn't get the box with it. Seller shipped with a tank full of gas - i started the saw on first pull! I don't think they knew much about saws.
The saw was priced to sell.
Sometimes, rarely, usually during a solar eclipse, this happens.

Good for You! :Saeufer:

Was chatting to a mate of mine who had three saws to give away as he has got a good electric saw, some green saw, a Husky and a big loud Dolmar. I snapped up the Dolmar and swung him a bottle of rum, all he knows about it is its had the top end rebuilt and is hard to start. Pulling the rope it has heaps of compression and probably needs the fuel system gone though. Anything else I should do or look out for?

Here are the after photos, maybe my mate needs to go to the gym, started on the 3rd pull with the fuel that was in it. Looks a PO has mucked around with it abit, dunno whats gonig on with the bar mounts, it works though. I dont think the mufflers would normally be welded?, bars are both the same 32'' and modded to fit. Carb box looked pretty good and the fuel lines etc looked nice and soft. New chain, sprocket, air filter and oil cap and I'm done.

That is a beautiful unit!

The previous owner utilized one of the "front 14mm" bar stud threads and one of the "rear 9mm" bar stud threads with both studs being 14mm.
Gotta admit it being a smart move, he got a bigger stud span thusly increased bar stability within the bar tail.

Both stud thread pairs are processed in the factory and ready to be used.

The clutch cover ships with one set of holes, but the second set is already preprocessed/marked.

The bar plate ships with one set of holes and needs to be replaced or modified.

The previous owner did nothing "unholy" to the saw, he just altered the way the manufacturer envisioned how the two stud pairs will be utilized.

Make sure the bars oiler hole lines up!
And get a screen in that big muffler hole to keep mud daubers out of it.

Is there a roller chain catcher for the Dolkita 7910 with double felling dawgs ?
Both Dawgs have holes that line up where id assume a roller type catcher would go but I can't find anything on the ipl .

Thanks
Ernie

Pistons good, mufflers a little iffy on the back side, missing cooling plate too. Ordered new plate and gasket.

Yes, Stihl roller chain catch fits.

I am looking but my OPEForum-Fu is poor this morning, I can't find the part number for the Stihl roller chain catch.

I am certain someone using it will chime in!
