Makita DUC353, 18+18Volt, LXT battery system.
14" NK B&C, although You can and should not utilize the whole length - 10" ash was already plenty for the saw.

Full wrap is close to case/hits when pulling up on handle. Beat, bend, add spacer?

Prob new AV springs. Should not do that. If the tank handle hits the carb base the av is toast.

Saw is basically brandy new I don’t beat on it at all. The PO of the wrap had the same issue and had a piece of hose there…still transmitted vibes.

From the recoil side this is the only part of the wrap that can hit on my saw with new av.

Need some help identifying this saw. It was advertised (and bought) as a Silver Star. It is NOT silver as you can see. It does appear to be factory paint. There is zero orange paint on this saw. This color is an off white and is painted right on the metal. The UL sticker is stuck on top of the paint. The initials and the date scratched on the bottom probably is the day this person acquired the saw and scratched through the white paint AT THAT TIME.
Also the paint is textured. Not wrinkled, but not smooth either. And I think it’s got something reflective mixed in it too because if you hit it with the beam of a flashlight it just about explodes ( almost like a Stop Sign) I need to find a laser pen….
Anyway, very interested in your ideas as to its origin.

FWIW, you can see the sharp (machined) lines in the coating on the case around the base of the cylinder. It’s factory I believe.

Apparently it is the Black and White version put out in 1987 for 60th the anniversary. That color was the first in that series to get a plastic tank.

That was some info I found on another site after some quick Googling anda bit of reading. Dang I thought if it was on the internet it must be true!

I saw a picture of another one online with a metal tank too. All tanks from 114 and 120 would interchange so maybe someone swapped the tank too? You will have it looking and running good in no time

As someone already said, this is a Black & White special series specimen.
The Black & White series comprised of models 105, 108, 110 and 112. The series was produced for only a short
period of time in 1986 for a marketing campaign together with scottisch Whiskey brand "Black & White".

The only model having a plastic tank was the 110. All 112 had metal tanks.
