Seen ad for craftsman 3.7, figured the one I could care less about for myself. Got a pic and I was like heck ya. The 60cc one I am into with 24" bar when new.
I have only seen 3 and maybe heard of 4 total. I have owned 2 of the 3 I seen before. Last one I sold was 2 a guy here that had been searching for one for 2 years. Told him I aint married to any saws.

This one had wrong bar nuts and washers but no big deal. Also still has the craftsman 24" labeled K041 mount 3/8 bar.

I've got the 2.8 Gray one, friend has or had the 3.3 black Sears best. We got ours from Sears about the same time back in the 80's.

It seems that Poulan started coasting downhill when they started the late 80's and 90's mostly plastic style of saw. I remember that is also when they really started pushing their way into the consumer/big box store market and leaving the dealers behind. It really accelerated when Husky bought them and the larger saws went away. And, we all see the end result. I'll always be a Poulan fan, but I don't have any hope of the brand ever being relevant again.

ya all like these better then the 3700 all mag ones?
Not really, 3400 & 3700 both VG saws. The 3.3 and 3500,3750,3.7 are lighter by much just as good IMO. I have minty 3800 and a bunch of 2800,3000.3100.3300,3.3, 3450, 3500,3750,PP285,PP305,PP330,PP380. If you notice only 1 mag saw in the group.

I didn't mean to imply the saws were junk, but rather that when Poulan rolled out the new style it coincided with the firm's self-inflicted long decline to where it is today.

Been nice if they made a 5 cubic saw in that style. But the 2800 and the rest in that style were good saws but was the last.

Scored a few saws today, went to a guys place that had 500 saws at some point, he said he sold 200 to someone for $10.00 a piece. Guy had saws piled 5 high in 3 car two story garage, I picked up a 4000, PP375, 330, 325, 285, farmsaw, S25CVA in the green case, my buddy got 14 other off brand saws.
