Anybody got a starters pistol?
A couple guys mentioned it was hard to watch the starter to see when he dropped his hands and still hit the cant square and fast, i know at Ryan’s GTG in the spring a couple years ago we used a starters pistol and it worked well.
I vote for either hot over the block or cold start, the third option is really dangerous and has been banned at some competitions.
Having the saw idling on the ground and grabbing it quickly can lead to injuries easily.
From what I remember we ended up doin away with the starter pistol at Ryan’s because you couldn’t hear it once we got above 3 cubes.

Having the cant stand elevated on a trailer is much easier. You can be looking at the wood and still see the starter

How is idling on the ground any more dangerous than cold start on the ground?

You are correct, we *s-wordcanned the pistol. A pistol would only work with saws idling on the ground or cold start.

Looks like any of those stupid Ported S&W Pistol’s would work. I’m pretty sure Helen Keller could hear one of those.

Levi says it smells like victory..
+3 race guys from this direction probably.

Well, hard to believe, but he found an even gay-er hobby..

So he's doing that for the spandex?

He's not gay, but for about 20 bucks he will experiment.

I didn't say he was gay...........

But he shouldn't "need" 20 bucks since he's on his bike all the time saving gas.

Unless he's saving up to rent a pig from ya?

Hold up now. Don't knock it. My compression gear for working out is the shiznit. Stretchy tight gear also doesn't get snagged so easily when working outside.

But, he may be wearing it for the padded seat that most bikers shorts have.

I doubt he looks as good as you in spandex.

Let's just not race at all. In fact, no chainsaws allowed, since they are so dangerous. I might as well stay home for fear of falling asleep at the wheel, or getting struck by lightning, or I might get mistaken for you and get kicked in the sack. You guys should have a gay sock contest to keep it safe ffs......
