That picture with the oxen is an absolutely awesome example of the pre mechanized past. This is especially true with the modern picture just below it. Tree sizes in those pictures also make their own historical statetment. It would seem that those old boys did considerably more with as much less. A big thank you.

Thanks JJ it's the Carlisle and settle line staring from the Scottish Borders heading through to settle in the Yorkshire dales
It travels through some deep valleys and riveens
The viaducts and bridges are true engineering
