Great pics - Cat 525C?
Not sure I don't know much about Cat skidders have checked a few out on dumps when visiting other logging outfits over the years but never operated a Cat myself. The only skidders I've had experience with personally is Clark and Timberjack.

Speaking of the land down under
That's a River Red Gum ancient big old tree that one.. It grows down south from me apparently the guys down there reckon it hard going chainsaw milling it?.
Idk I reckon they'd be in for a shock if they chainsaw milled Forest Red Gum it's a way harder superior timber. That's a Forest Red Gum in my avatar.

@rogue60 I read somewhere that forest red was aka blue gum…? Taller and straighter, not all forks. Also, not as hard?
Two different species Forest Red Gum is not Blue Gum.
Yes Forest Red Gum grows taller and straighter and is a lot denser harder timber than River Red Gum.

How are you liking that X tuff light bar?
It's pretty darn Tuff, the thing never needs dressed ,doesn't get the rails pinched ,and the tip is great.
Only thing about these bars is that if you bend it good, they can not be rebent straight, the Steel will fracture.
So I like them.

Thank you! Was thinking about trying the new premium lights but sounds like they are pretty floppy like the old Oregon light bars. These sound better.

Yeah they aren't as floppy , but definitely not as light as the other "light" bars. Stihl and Tsumara are a good compromise if weight matters.
