Yeah it would have been a very heavy load.
Our hardwoods average weight is around 1100kg to 1200kg a cubic meter green.
1000kg = 1 tonne
Your Aussie wood is for darn sure heavy. I was wrasslin some today, bout busted a gut.

BTW, what species ya think? More yellow, twisted, cracked, splintery than usual red gum.

Who knows what it is some kind of Gum... Its hard to id as you guys have some of the most gnarly awful looking Aussie hardwoods I've ever seen lol
