Any of you loggers seen one of these?

Yes I have on the east coast they put a similar deal on the arch well cutting to help direct the tree. Something like that out here could turn bad really quick with a big wind sail of a Doug fir.

Good luck with that in hardwood too. Rootballs are usually huge and full of rocks. Looks like they're on the beach. Still everything has it's place.

Looks like it’d do well in Florida & the South near the Coast, but that wouldn’t work here in the Piedmont.
