The herd is normally there in that clear cut about 30 head. Heck it might even be an area you’re familiar with.

I am north of Skeans up on Washington's Olympic Peninsula, across the salt water from Victoria, B.C.

It is steep up here! Looking south from my driveway into the Olympic Mountains and some of the clear cuts. My place is 3 miles south of the Straits of Juan de Fuca, a 20 mile wide salt water separation between Washington and Canada. Snow 6 weeks ago.

Was there a week or so ago for 2 days, did the tip of the pennisula, Neah Bay Cape Flaherty,, then to Victoria.
Had a great stay, will be back.
Oh my did those log trucks ever go fast on HWY 112,, like Nascar,,,bizzare,,

Yea the guys like big 600 hp Cats under the hood. Time is money!!

When I moved up here in the 1970's there was much more timber being cut. And a lot more trucks!!! You really had to watch for them. I always pulled over to let them pass. Most of them were headed to the Port Angeles Harbor as most of the timber was loaded on ships for export.

Thats a nation wide pandemic. I work at a print shop and see them complain when they have you use a manual pallet jack to move a 1300# skid of paper.

These Pacific logging trucks look pretty and robust every photo I’ve seen of these
There loaded too the rafters what’s the history are they still available
