A driver REALLY has to know what they are doing with a load like that. No second chance, especially given the type of roads the operate on. The headache rack ain't gonna help much if you get into trouble, I suspect. Skill and experience count for a lot.

more cab protector than anything, load n unloading, sometimes have water tank built in for brake cooling.
on hwy bulkheads had to be rated for static weight here, still wont stop moving load, but do slow it down some.

Buddy of mine John Wheelden from Sayward, British Columbia, Canada felled this red cedar near Victoria Peak.
15 foot diameter butt.

I remember John saying this tree scaled out to around 48,000 feet.
This was in the mid 1980's
