No, there’s pretty much no “old growth” left, most commercial stands are on their at least 3rd rotation I’m thinning. A patch of nice second growth is a rare sight most places.

This is second growth, most people who have never been around the trade would tell its old growth based on the size. An old growth has a different look to it, the old timers would call it yellow fir because of the color also the bark is different and much thicker.

Nice T-800 Rocketnorton!!! What year is that truck and what engine . I would assume Cat, they like those Cats and Western Stars up in your neck of the woods.

wish it were yellow under there. like a 550. 625 not so much...
that said, it's isx @ 565, 18918b, 46/390 rears. it would push 625 we had up hills. could've been driver, too, never ran it myself.
no gov. does 85mph. nice for runnin hills. is '08.
