As most know I work for a logger.
He also has a bundling business, those little $5 ones you see at quick stores.
He is getting worried he can’t get wood. All the ground we have been harvesting on is flooded and so wet and muddy he can’t get it elsewhere either.
Normally by now he has enough piled up to last into January. We have about three days worth is it.
Its been raining the last 2 days and more tomorrow.
He doesn’t know what to do, has orders to fill and no wood plus the new kiln he got has only dried 2 loads in the 3 weeks of ownership, broke down the rest.
Don’t know what we gonna do till it freezes.

No mats

I was in the area where this photo was taken Saturday. The biggest tree I saw was about 24-28”. It’s hard to imagine that there were hardwood trees this big in this area at one time.

Might be worth doing, I know when the clear cutters are shut down for mud I can still yard and cut because we run on slash all the time.
