The second photo is taken in Norway or Sweden. Most likely Norway, looking at the plate on the truck. AC registration came from southeast Norway, where there were many mills, and logging was big business. The truck is a Scania-Vabis of 1948 (give or take) vintage, and the symbol on the door was their logo. The single axle trailers were common, and were nicknamed "backpacks". My dad has quite a few miles under his belt with a similar setup, although not hauling logs. I have a few years with backpacks and articulated trailers myself, as well as semis. Grew up in a trucking company. Great photo that caught my eye immediately. I'm a trucking geek as well as saw guy.
