My 10 year old Lab named Cole got smacked by a car last night and has a pretty nasty fracture to his left front leg. The vet says we can splint it and see if it will heal, otherwise it will probably need to be amputated. So, send those prayers up guys!

And the ole boy is back home and in a cast. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes guys. There is still a chance he could lose the leg if it doesn't heal, so keep it coming.

That was a couple of weeks ago this is all that is left today. The piece by his left ear was from a different one he had.

Thanks, he seems to be getting better every day. He can hobble around in his cast pretty good, spent the afternoon laying out in the yard working on his tan.

That's awful, hope he makes a full recovery.

If it's any consolation to you my dog got ran over when he was only a few months old. He recovered but had brain damage that slowly wore off over time.
The same dog is now nine years old and just the other week survived being mauled by the neighbour's pitbull. The pitbull is gone and my dog is back to normal, he literally got up and walked it off. The vet put drains in the wounds to let the puss out but other than that there was no stopping him.
So dogs are a lot tougher than they look.
