Catahoula.i used to have some for hog dogs
Its actually louisiana state dog.they really dont know how the breed started.they believe french brought them here in 1500s based on paintings .they are great dogs higly intelligent.like kids protective.they are used to herd cattle and hunt hogs mostly.there more of a hot nosed dog they wont get way ahead of you like a walker or blue tick.great in smaller blocks of woods.real gritty too.sometimes they are born with a bob tail as well.Cool, I was just wondering what breed imthst was. I was surprised it was a US dog when I looked it up. Reminds me of an Aus dog.

Lol thats. A funny comment.we have some of the prettiest women in the u.s.. In this state.i dont even know why you would qoute me with a statement like that. Nice quote from bible i like it
I had about 15 head of hog dogs both black mouth and catahoula. And american pits at one time before getting married some with bob tails some with full tails and both red and blue merel. Cracked eye and non cracked eyes i know the breed very well.the can be timid as a puppy and you dont want to scold them to much you can ruin them
Thats cool.i have a lot of respect for the breed.i miss mine,i dont know how many times when i had them out and people would look at them and say they look like aulstrailian shepard color but have short hair what are they?there great dog in yard to will let you know when someone is there.

No problem.I’d like some info.
No problem.
She was purchased from Blue Clay Kennels in Kimbolton Ohio.
Pure bred AKC with all the papers.
She stayed there for training.
She will get basic obedience and gun dog training as well as shed antler training.
I will pick her up in late Jan / early Feb. at 6 months old, just in time to scour the woods!
They do offer other services as well for hunting applications.
So far our interactions have been great and Scott and Amy are top notch people to deal with.
Best groundie ever lol. Here is our pumpkin head now. Not a mean bone in his body. He just forgets he weighs in at 140# when he plays. And he can clear off a coffee table with that tail
