What's the determining factor in how wide you make your fingers Randy?

Trail and error really. Those are from a 3120XP I did for Steven. The last one I did just got wider fingers. No bridges. I opened the fingers 3° ahead of the mains. My thinking is that if the fingers open first, and get moving, then inertia will continue to carry the charge even after the mains open.

I was having trouble posting pics with my phone yesterday, but I was in the shop away from the modem a little too far.
