I miss my old 55. I don't know if it was open or closed port, but it was a fine saw for the money. @Mastermind I see that you've settled on a 353 piston. Would a 357xp, 262xp, or 365 P&C fit with some massaging?

great thread! i followed joeys advice in a 5000 top end, used the original 44 mm 50 piston and drilled 2 holes on either side of the wrist pin boss and opened the bottom to the case. held together so far...
seems like that 353 piston is the ticket
I ordered the 353 pop up piston from site owner @Gentleman. I'm sure he's planning on delivering it in person tomorrow. Cause he's AWESOME.
