I remember @Stihlbro posting about using a 51 piston and taking the lower edges offa the jug......
A 51 or 350(some or 353) are 45 mm. I did use one and still have the saw. It is not windowed like the original, but I ground the bottom of the cylinder to match the crankcase. It worked. I have pictures on photobucket but my account is over the limit.




One is factory piston, the other is piston mentioned.

Not a lot of difference.....

Thanks Joey. Looks like I can save the jug. Gonna have at least one pretty good groove, but it's not horrible.
