Looking forward to seeing Carl's 665/7910.
Well here ya go buddy! I wanna start bye saying I'm not impressed with this saw yet! I think it's a combination of I got it a little high strung for a limited coil. If i try and let the saw do its thing it bounces of the rev limiter. And it's a tad to high strung to dog the crap out of. Although all that said. It has made about 10 cuts on total so it's no even close to being broke in!

How many RPM's is that saw turning in the video? I have already measured it with the RPM App on my phone, but I want to hear what it is actually turning, so that I can refute what you say........a Bag of Dicks taught me how to act like an idiot.;)
Are you stirring the pot! Lmao. I'm guessing it's turning 20k on the 13.5k limited coil! :)

Pardon my dumb. Is the 665 and the 7900 the same saw, or did you do a cylinder swap? Or something else.

The 665-681 solos, 6400-7900 makita/dolmars are all close relatives. The solos have a little longer stroke crank. So on this saw. I pulled the 65cc jug off and put the 7910 jug on!

I'll freshen her up. Better yet maybe I can talk Kenneth into it. He's coming up this weekend and that guy can sharpen a chain! Lol.

My saws rarely look great in a video.......hell I run the rakers too low. At least that what people tell me. I like it when it's digging like a mfer in the cut.
Chains make all the difference. @Hedgerow can make my saws look stupid fast with his handy work! The one he sharpened for me at at hedgefest was 24" bar 8-pin in hedge and it just tore the crap outta the wood. Could of used a 9 pin.

Carl what size bar are you running. I can bring one of my ground chains and I can file up a couple for you.

A few weeks ago, Carl agreed to port my 790's cylinder. He did it pretty fast, and for a really (really!) good price.
Yesterday, my 562 quit working, so I put the "20 bar on the dolly in my truck, with a 8 pin sprocket, and it was a funny day!

I promised Carl to make a video when I had the time and something big enough to bury a long bar. Well, I didn't use the long bar, because it's a PITA to limb with a "28 or "25 bar, but here's a small video:

The powerband of this saw is just unreal. Can't wait to use it against our skidder's 661! I LOVE this saw.

Thank you very much Carl!

Carl is a good dude and does top notch work!

Saw looks good man
