got a dumpster-found poulan 306A that fires with prime. tearing it down I see that it sat for a number of years with a tank full of fuel. I say that because of the brown stuff I've been scraping off. also, conjecturing that it was corny fuel because of the corrosion present. who knows. anyway, I've scraped and wire brushed most of the crap and corrosion off and wondering:
1. what fluid can I use to neutralize the corrosion - vinegar? presently soaking in non-ethanol straight gas
2. what is a good tank lining paint?
3. do I even need to line the tank ($$$$$$$) if I get it cleaned good?
thanks for the plethora of upcoming responses.
