I regret selling my 268 and 272s off
Year's ago
Bought a couple online lately
None to be found here
It is seldom to find saws older than 15 years old in good or running condition here. The users and terrain are not kind to anything it seems.

Heck yes, they are good saws! 2-series Husqvarna are some of my favorites. I have a 242, a 262xp, and a 288xp...

If I had more money and a bigger garage, I’d definitely be looking for a 254xp, a 272xp, and a 2100.

This 2 series saw is the one i have far and above the most experience with building and running. I absolutely love these built as anything from a 625/61 through the 670/272. Super reliable, very solid built, pretty sporty with just a gasket delete and muff mod. Tons of parts available strong oiler system with the power to run bars longer than most would say they would run with authority. The one ive built as a hot 670 pulls a 36" bar no problem atall. So im sure a properly ported 272 would do a 36" even better then my semi pro back yard porting on the 670 jug. Saw looks pretty clean and cared for. If you can get it for close to $200 id be all over it. Thank you for sharing the deal with us.

This one lived it's life as a firewood saw for an older gentleman, it appears to be well taken care of, and seeing as how I have more husky saws and bars now than ever...and I've grown fond of 2 series saws, seemed reasonable.
Given your fondness of 2-series saws you won’t be disappointed. I don’t own a 272 but I’ve run a friends and I walked away wanting it but alas he wouldn’t let it go. I really need a gap filler for in between my 262 and 288 too...lol! I don’t worry about the 372 being stronger, I like 2-series they’re great running saws, they’re also about the simplest saws to work on if wrenching is needed. Buy it and smile:)

Seems I've ended up with a couple of your saws lol. No it just had the one with a crack in it but boy this is a clean saw.
Yeah I probably should’ve kept it, and that PM850. Oh, well...

Fella wants 3 clams for it, I had a bad day and almost heat stroked out so I had to delay. Just finally bought new cell phones for the wife and I...ouchies!

I had a 272 for a while it was a nice saw. My ported 60cc was stronger so I sold it but I kind of wish it had kept it and got it ported. I’m with joe I don’t think it is far behind a 372. Its compact and handles nicely with a 20-24”. I tried a 32 with a skip on it. It will work in a pinch but not it’s favorite thing. Would I buy another one for a good price defiantly

That's average price for a runner.
I've been buying non runner's
For 100-180.00
Usually wouldn't pay that much
But these saws are scarce here
And the easiest saws I've worked on.
Parts are readily available
For the 268/272 at least.

Buying cell phones sucks!

$300 for that saw? I’d be all over it. Not a screaming deal but a fair price IMO.
